Xcelerator Group Awarded Data Lake Development Project from National Head Start Assoc.

[Fairfax, VA] – Xcelerator Group, a leading provider of technology solutions for business intelligence, has been awarded a contract by the National Head Start Association (NHSA) to provide an analysis solution for their member organizations.

NHSA Children

NHSA aims to create an early childhood system that will collect, store, and analyze data from Head Start programs in ways that help Head Start programs learn from each other. The project (pdf), which is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is designed to share actionable information about children, families, and staff and to support programs in improving program practice. By establishing this lake of information, Head Start programs will be able to identify national trends, inform policy recommendations, and drive professional development.

“We are thrilled to work with NHSA to support their members in their important work serving communities across the country,” said John Estrada, president of Xcelerator Group. “This new solution will enable NHSA members to get insights into programs and children’s progress. We are very excited about the opportunity to support NHSA and its mission.”

NHSA’s mission is to coalesce, inspire, and support the Head Start field as a leader in early childhood development and education. NHSA is committed to the belief that every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to succeed in life. They are the voice for more than 1 million children, 275,000 staff, and 1,600 grant recipients in the United States.

“Our intention is to bring together data from Head Start programs nationwide to provide actionable information about children, families, staff, and programs,” said NHSA Executive Director Yasmina Vinci. “With help from the Xcelerator Group, the data lake will improve systems and drive practical improvement. Likewise, it will enable NHSA to identify national trends needed to support advocacy efforts, inform policy recommendations, and drive professional development for the Head Start community.”

The contract is a major win for Xcelerator Group. With this contract, Xcelerator Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to helping non-profits achieve their mission and impact more lives.
